JOINING SUMMIT CREDIT UNION

If you are eligible to join Summit Credit Union, opening an account is fast and easy. We offer three convenient methods of establishing your account:

In Person: visit a branch office. A Member Service Officer will provide you with the proper forms and disclosures to open your account on the spot. Please bring a valid driver’s license, Social Security card and proof of eligibility (such as an employment ID or check stub) or, if you’re joining as a family member, we will ask you to sign an affidavit verifying your eligibility for membership. You’ll also need to deposit at least $25 to open a Membership Share account.

By Mail: Simply call one of our Member Service Call Center Representatives at 336-662-6200 or 800-632-0210 for a new account kit. Upon receipt, you must:

• Complete all forms
• Provide a photocopy of your driver’s license and Social Security Card
• Provide a photocopy of your proof of eligibility
• Enclose a check or money order for $25 to open a Membership Share account
• Return the completed forms, photocopies, and $25 minimum deposit requirement to us in the envelope provided

Via On-Line Application: Click on Membership Application at the bottom of this page. Once we receive your application, a master account agreement will be mailed to you. You will be asked to review and sign the master account agreement and complete the steps listed above.

Membership in the Credit Union can be obtained by opening a Membership Share account with a minimum deposit of $25. Upon joining the Credit Union, you may retain your membership as long as you like, even if your employment or residence changes. “Once a member, always a member.” You need only keep at least $25 in your Membership Share account.

An Employee, retired employee or student of the following sponsoring organizations are invited to join this Credit Union. Spouses of deceased retired employees are also eligible to join.
