In March and May, we held two in-person Taste of Reality Fairs at Andrews High School and Guilford County Center. Over 50 young adults learned how adulting can be hard, but doable when making wise financial decisions. Using our interactive mobile app, students were given a credit score, career, and salary. To simulate real-life occurrences, the app features the “Fickle Finger of Fate”, where the user receives a lucky bonus or an unexpected expense. While trying not to exceed their budget, they made purchases for transportation, housing, and various other monthly living expenses.
