Join Today

To become a member, you must open a new Savings account by depositing at least $5. Opening a Savings account is fast and easy. And, we offer two convenient methods.

  1. Apply In-Person: Visit any of our branch locations. A Member Service Officer will provide you with the proper forms and disclosures to open your account on the spot. Bring your:
    • Deposit of at least $5
    • Valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license)
    • Social Security card
    • Proof of eligibility*
  2. Apply Online:
    • Have your valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) and a working email address available.
    • Click or tap here or on the "Join Today" button above and complete the online application. Once it is completed, you will receive a Welcome email.
    • Deposit at least $5 into a new Savings account. The Welcome email will contain a link you can follow to deposit funds from a Visa, Master Card, or Discover credit card. If this is not an option, you may send a check or money order to ...

Membership Eligibility

Employees of Business Partners

Current or retired employees of any of our 300+ Business Partners are eligible to become a member. Look for your employer in our current list of Business Partners.

Family of a Member

Family of a current Summit Credit Union member are eligible for membership. This includes spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. It also includes anyone living at the same legal residential address of a current member. Spouses of deceased or retired Business Partner employees are also eligible.

Family members have full rights of membership and joint ownership is not required on their account, except for minor children.

*Proof of Eligibility

Proof of eligibility may be an employment ID or check stub from any of our Business Partners. Family of a current member of Summit Credit Union may provide proof by signing an affidavit verifying eligibility for membership.
